The Holden's | Married | Smithfield, Virginia

Not too long ago, I was contacted by Chelsea about photographing her and Brandon's wedding. We hit it off immediately. She is has such a kind heart. We didn't have enough time to fit in an engagement session, which usually makes me a little nervous to not have a couple in front of my camera prior to their wedding but not this couple.

The venue was amazing. It was Chelsea's parents house along with their neighbors. With this pandemic shutting down the wedding industry, it has been hard to find venues that are available. So why not pop up a gorgeous tent and have it in your backyard. It's better in many ways because you have total control of everything and it's so intimate. We instantly felt comfortable when we arrived.

Chelsea got ready with her bridesmaids and her bridesman (her brother.) Can we please make this a normal thing! I loved everything about that! Brandon got ready with his groomsmen next door in the best man's cave I have seen! So awesome!

As the ceremony began, it became quiet when everyone noticed that Chelsea and her dad arrived on horse and carriage. How unique. The rain held out as they kissed as husband and wife .As we got to portrait time, the rain was in but Chelsea did not flinch. We just carried on!!

They finished the night dancing with their closest friends and family.

Thank you Chelsea and Brandon for allowing us to be apart of your wedding day. It was amazing. And a big thanks to Chelsea's parents, Mark and Shawnda for being such amazing hosts!
