Where do I begin? We met Blake and Emily at their engagement session last year in Richmond. We knew that these two would become our friends, especially Christian and Blake. They are so similar and love the same things. Emily is one of the most down to earth women I have ever met. She is just that type of girl that just goes with the flow, which came in handy during all the changes to their wedding due to the pandemic.

Because of capacity limits, they decided to move their reception to Emily’s parents house, which in my pov was beyond perfect. Photos are very important to Emily and Blake so they came up with the best idea to do their portraits at the Gari Melchers Museum and Studio. And when I say perfect, I mean it was the perfect spot for portraits. It has that old cottage charm with the river attached to the property. Even when it started to rain, that didn’t stop these two! They just went with the flow and laughed!

The day began at Emily’s parent’s house where they transformed the basement into a bridal suite. We were so impressed. They thought of every detail. Emily was so calm and just enjoying every bit of it. Christian met Blake at his parents house, not far at all and the guys had fun dodging golf balls on the golf course before the ceremony.

They got married at a beautiful ceremony held at Emily’s church, Saint William of York Catholic Church. It ended with the perfect kiss and all the guests smiling from ear to ear. Then we headed to the museum for the portraits. It was perfect.

The night ended with an intimate dinner with all of their closest family and friends at Emily's parents house. The reception was pulled inside due to rain but that didn’t stop these two from getting portraits under the twinkle lights.

If I can easily say that this day was perfect. Congratulations Emily and Blake. Thank you for having us. We are so happy you are in our lives! Enjoy your honeymoon.
