Michael & Kimberly | Married | Wyndham, Virginia Beach

Only a few weeks ago I met this lovely couple. They weren't planning on having a big wedding but the closer they got to their date, it grew in size. The wonderful thing is is that they decided to get a photographer. I find it more important to get a photographer then many other things at a wedding that way no matter what, you have portraits. When I showed up, they were all ready to jump in front of my camera. We had such a blast a little further north of the Oceanfront. It's no longer tourist season but there are plenty of people soaking in the sun on these last few days of summer. And talking about summer. it was a beautiful, breezy day. Perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Before they said their vows in front of their loved ones, we did a first look with the wedding party watching. It was so sweet seeing Michael tear up with his partner of 15 years all dolled up. It was so sweet. From there we were off to get a few portraits done. Then they snuck away right before the ceremony began.

My favorite part of the day was that Michael and Kimberly walked down the aisle together. I love when couples think outside the box. As they were saying their vows to one another, they both broke down in tears. So sweet. Then they party was ready to start.
