Brooke | Bridals | Yorktown, Virginia
This past June, I met with Brooke for her wedding consult. It didn't take long for us to realize that we are so similar. We are both teachers and have a crazy love for the outdoors. It was a perfect match. Her fiancé (now hubby:) is in the army and had been away for a few months so an engagement session was not in the cards for us. I was lucky enough that Brooke wanted to do a bridal session.
The day of the bridal shoot, we met at her house and got her all dolled up and drove to Yorktown Beach. Before we headed to the beach, we headed to the Cole-Diggs House . It is this quaint little house with turquoise shutters. It screams Brooke style all over it! Then we headed to the famous Yorktown Beach where we strategically blocked the fishermen at every corner. Then for our last spot, I mentioned to her that I always wanted to shoot at a certain row of trees. I believe there use to be a bamboo forest there but for some reason the bamboo was taken out. What was left was these beautiful tall trees that sit on a green hill. When we got there, we headed over to the trees but didn't get very far because I saw a field mouse running. That's were we just stopped and started snapping away. haha. Last thing we needed was a mouse running up her dress. The minute we said our goodbyes and got in the car, it started to rain. We made it just in the nick of time.
Scott and Brooke were married this past Saturday. at the General's House in Fort Monroe. I am so happy for them. I can't wait to share their wedding photos. But for now, I will leave you with Brooke's gorgeous bridal portraits.
Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you to Brooke's parents and her amazing friend for helping keep the gown clean!
