Kayla

So, I feel very old writing this blog because I remember when Kayla was just a little girl. Now she is a beautiful college student.

When I was 17, I was hired by Kayla's mother at Johnny Rockets. I remember Kayla and her little sister sitting at the bar and drinking their milkshakes. They were so cute. A year or two later they were stationed elsewhere and we didn't see each other for years!

Fast forward to 2008, it was moving day for us. We were moving into the house that we are in now. As we were moving boxes into the house, I saw a bunch of the neighborhood moms were talking in the street. Christian urged me to go introduce myself. As I walked to the group of ladies, I recognized one of them. It was Kayla's mom, my old manager that hired me at Johnny Rockets. We moved in right next door to them. Talk about a small world.

So we have been neighbors ever since. I have had the pleasure to watch Kayla grow up from a little girl to an exceptional woman. She attends college in Richmond and comes home to visit her family many weekends out of the year. I was lucky enough to have her for an hour to snap some photos. It's the funniest thing but while we were at the session, we were having a conversation about life and college. I didn't feel like I was talking to a 19 year old but a woman my age. She is far more mature than any 19 year old I know!

Kayla, you are beautiful not only on the outside but also on the inside! Your parents did a wonderful job raising you and I cannot wait to see where life takes you!
